Abortion of the death penalty

The UN adopted a proposal that asking all the countries to suspend capital punishment. It discussed for a long time abortion of the death penalty. Looking at the countries around the world,the number of countries supporting abortion of the death penalty overwhelms that of introducing it. Therefore,America, China,and Japan are in a minolity. Even if you know this fact, are you for the death penalty? I belive that Japan should follow this tendency because the UN is the center of countries around the world,and if Japan will continue the sentence, it should suggest opinions that persuade other countries.
