Freedom of press

Pakistni government places new curbs on Media. Pakistani journalists are accusing the government of restricting election coverage including airing live broadcasts. Also programs ecriticizing the government officials and showing pictuers of suicude bombers are restriced to broadcast. What do you think about freedom of press? I believe that it is one of the impotant human rights that should not be abused. Some governments don't allow the media to broadcast and express opinions that possibly critcize them. However, critisizing the government is the necessary role of press. The media should tell citizens government policies by analizing and criticizing them.
