Net bullying

Recently, the net bullying exists. I did not know it. The victim doesn't know assailant's name in the net. Then, the assailants write abuse. Slandered word remains in shape in the net bullying. The victim keeps being afflicted by it. And he third party doesn't discover it easily. There was bullying for a long time. But I think this bullying is very malignant. We should consider victim's feelings. Why does not the assailant think that bullying is uncouth? But when the victim is bullied, can I be correct?

High school teacher drank with students

Last month, three teachers of high school and thirteen students participated in the training camp of basketball in Mie prefecture. And one high shool teacher got drunk with his students. He admitted that he was wrong and said "Because students say that they want to drink, I let students drink against my better judgment." I think that of course this teacher should be punished, but other two teachers who did not stop are also bad. Besides, students had to think even future and cotrol their judgement and mind in order not to give trouble to not only themselves but also other people like school and their family.

Children are in danger of death

Now the public of Niger in Africa is facing the hunger and epidemic because of a drought. 30% of the population is in danger of death. Actually, 800,000 people of them are babies(less than five years). Children weakened by malnutrition lose the resistance to disease and they die because of diseases such as measles and rubella that the mortality rate is extremely low in Japan. Therefore, children cannnot live a long life without vaccination. Of courese, children cannot choose where to be born, and they have no responsibility for climate accident. I think the way of helping people in Niger is to save the child and to train a local medical treatment staff.

Chinese spy in Hawaii

China's intelligence service gained access to a secret National Security Agency listening post in Hawaii through a Chinese-language translation service, according to U.S. intelligence officials. The spy penetration was discovered several years ago as part of a major counterintelligence probe by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) that revealed an extensive program by China's spy service to steal codes and other electronic intelligence secrets, and to recruit military and civilian personnel with access to them.

Japan drops humpback whale hunt

A controversial Japanese mission to hunt humpback whales in the Antarctic has been temporarily abandoned, a top government official says. Nobutaka Machimura said the humpback hunt would not go ahead - although the fleet will still hunt about 1,000 other whales in the area. The move comes after pressure from the International Whaling Commission. Japan is regularly condemned for its annual whaling missions. But this year's Antarctic expedition was particularly controversial because, in addition to 935 minke whales and 50 fin whales, the fleet intended to kill up to 50 humpbacks. It was the first time Japan had targeted the humpbacks since a moratorium was introduced in the mid-1960s - when the species had been hunted almost to extinction.

Street Children

Recently, street children' problems have become more critical. It is said that there are 100 million or about 150 million street children all over the world. They live on the road without house and family. Far from going to school, children are compelled heavy labor. Some children make a living by way of collecting PET bottle in garbage mountains. To make matters worse, children can have a possibility of infecting with HIV and infectious disease because hygienic condition is extremely bad. I cannot overlook the gap between them and us because we are same human and live this earth together. We should tackled this problem as same human.

Japanese technology

Dec 21,Toyota Motor rose to the top in the number of car'production in 2007. This is the first time for Toyota Motor because U.S. General Motors was defending the first place from 1931 to now. In 2008, Toyota Mortor have plans to approach 10 million which is an unprecedented scale. In my opinion, a lot of forighners use Japanese electronic products such as cars and cameras,so we can be proud of our high techonology. I want company to continue growing and satisfing us with the quality. Moreover,their high technology should be used for grobal issues such as environmental problems. I expect Japanese companies to trying to studying and solving our present problems.

Education of girls in Cambodia

The girl's rate of entering school is low and the withdrawal rate is high in Cambodia. According to the data of UNESCO, the rate of girl's entering school is 47% in the elementary school, 40% in the junior high school, and 32% in the high school. As they become the upper-grade, it lowers more. Moreover, the gap of entering school between boys and girls is widen. This is because there are cultural contexts such as economical circumstances of their home and giving priority to education of boys. I think education of girls brings them new abilitis which make their lives better. Besides, it will give girls confidence and pride through their learning, and they will become positive for the future.

Bullying on the internet and cellphone

According to a resarch of an organization of Mobile Marketing Date (MMD), conducts linked bullying on the internet and cellphones are spreading. These examples are scandal on BBS or Blog, slander by E-mail. So it is said parents gives their children cellphones because of their safety, but they have to take responsibilities of their children's trouble.

Shcool expenses

A recent report said that if one child enter all private preschool, elementary, junior high and high school, this cost is about three times as high as all public. And also said even if he or she enter only public elementary and junior high school, the family in urban cities have to pay for more school expenses. So Ministry and Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Education said they mianly support family which get less income, so they want to offer fuller supports.

DESERTIFICATION

The desertification is a problem which Japan is not so familiar with. However, from the worldwide viewpoint, it is said that one-quarter of the land on the earth has already been desert and 900 million people have been influenced. Especially,desertification is serious in the Inner Mongolia autonomy district in China. The region that was rich meadow several decades ago had changed into the earth of sand by overcultivation and overpasture due to increaseof population. On the other hand, activitis that regain green have extended too. In this area that is originally meadow, there is the potential to grow plants and the possibility of green's recover by greening activities. So we should understand the fact and present situation in order to cooperate for greening activities.

Shinig clone cat

The shinig clone cat is made in Korea. This cat looks normal usually but shine by ultraviolet rays in the dark. This is because this cat is made by operating the Red Fluorescence Protein (RFP). And this RFP can be utilized for the genetic treatment of human.

Evolution of human

The speed of human's evolution is more fast for last forty thousand years according to the recent research. This research team said they studied thecangeof genetic code for last eighty thousand years on the difference of DNA's arrangement and found the change of genetic code was speeding up about forty years ago. This is because the number of people is increasing, they have to live in various areas and have to need to adapt various climate, food, illness, enviornment. But there is another view it cannot be explained simply by these natural selection.

LANDMINES after the war

Do you have enough knowledge of land mines? The accidents caused by land mines have happened in 90 countries of the world. The number of people who encounter damage every year is estimated to be 15,000~20,000 people. 70 percent of the victim is private citizens. Even after the war, victims of land mines are increasing everyday and people are suffering due to land mines. In may opinion, removal of land mines is important problem certainly, but also supports for people who encountered with the damage is essential.

Each electrical appliance company work on the measure of global warming and improve the image of the company. For example they annouced specific numerical target of reduction of CO2 and introduce energy-saving household appliances mainly. And among these companies, Sony also work on recycling. They reuse the plastic parts of Braun tube TV to display television.

Terrorism in Pakistan

Terrorism happened again. On 21st of December in 2007, a loud explosion which was regarded as suicidal bombing happened in Mosque. The explosion killed at least 54 people and many people injured. When I heard this news, I was very sad. Why the fight happen. We all hope for peace in the world.

Suicide bomb attack in Pakistan.

Suicide bomb attack by a man happend at mosque in Pakistan and about 50 people was killed. The target of this attack is regarded as former home secretary, but he was safe. There were about 300 people in mosque when terrorism happend. I think terrorism is mortal sin. It is because terrorism often involve and kill or injure lots of innocent people. I think there are better ways to show their own insistence to government. And, government shold listen to opinion of the nation more carefully.

Abolition of Passnet

Passnet conference announced that passnet will be abolished on 14th March, 2009. Since appearanece of Pasmo, the user of passnet decresed greatly. They said after on 14th March, 2009, people who have passnet could pay back for passnet because we will not be able to use it any more. I realize progress of technology very much. Since release of Pasmo or Suica it is much more convenient to do everything. We do not use Buscard, commuter's ticket, wallet and so on. New product will continue to remove old fashion.

New Year's Card

Japanese post office announced that they decided to make one hundred million more new yar's card for 2008. This year, they have made 4 bilion cards which is 5.8& increase compared to last year. Japanese post officers are worried that if numbers of cards increse, delivery would be dely so that we have to do something about it. They cal people to mail till on 25st, December and employ 21000 more people to work compared to last year. I think in this era which we can use mail easily it is surprising to increase people who write New year's card. These days, I do not send cards, but this year I would like to write some cards to my friends!!

Medical Error

These days, we often hear news about medical error. On 21st December in Niigata University hospital, doctor mistook incision right and left of skull. He opened 2 parts mistakely. The hospital announced that we apologize to the patient and his family sincerely, but they denied that the patient did not become worse because of their mistake. I thought although it might not be their fault deteriorating his condition, I would be very worried. Since we do not have enough knowldge about medical treatment, we trust doctor so that making mistake would makes us very nervous. Since doctors treat people's life, they must be very carefull.
