Global Issues 5

"To increase enrollment and provide better education, school systems have to invest in training teachers and improving facilities. But many poor countries already spend a substantial share of their GDP on education." (from miniatlas of Millennium Development Goals) This information is about Education Expenditure. (1998-2002) Public expenditure on education per student is 20% and over of GDP per capita in the United States, Japan Italy, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia and so on. In contrast, the expenditure figure is under 10% in Libya, Indonesia, Peru and so on. Many people think that education is like an investment for future. Education can be solution of many global issues such as Gender Equality and HIV/AIDS. I believe if many countries stop using money on war and decide to use the numerous amount of WAR expenditure for Education instead, the world might be good, confortable to live, wonderful world.
