Thinking Reed

I don't think you know his name Blaise Pascal, but I think most of you know Pascal's triangle when you lean high school's mathematics. He said "Humankind is thinking reed". I feel this described just a part of humankind truly. But I have to rethink my mind when I thought Japanese political party. For example, Ozawa who is the president of Japanese Democratic Party said he burned out and agreed when Fukuda who is Japanese primeminister asked him to get together. I NEVER HEARD WHO BURNED OUT WHEN HE WAS THE PRESIDENT. If people know Ozawa is that person, who vote for DP last election? NONE. So, I feel he isn't thinking reed.
