Sea cucumber has potential to protect malaria

An international team suggests that sea cucumber(a kind of namako) might have a potential to provide new weapon against malaria parasite. I don't have idea about the reason why researchers could find this fact but it is very desirable discovery.  It seems that the research is still being done.  According to BBC news, malaria causes severe illness in 500 million people worldwide each year, and kills more than one million.  If the team can provide new weapon, more than one million people might be cured.  However I want researchers to consider sea cucumbers because they are animal.
