An asteroid perhaps collides with Mars

According to NASA, an asteroid (a kind of planet) perhaps collides with Mars in the end of January.  I heard that an asteroid collide with Mars once 1,000 years.   If it antually collide, we are very lucky.  If it makes crater, we might be able to discover something.  I'm interested about the universe, so I can't wait the end of January. In these days, some politician in Japan discuss how to deal creatures from outer space, but I think that it is ridiculous and they should discuss other things such as tax problem or corruption of politicians. Anyway, I look forward to hearing some discovery about the universe.
