Divorce is not goof for environment

A proffesor of University Michigan announced result of survey "Divorce is not good for environment." He says after divorce, couple live separately, it means he(she) need new house. Increasing divorce promote uban sprawl and consumption water, electicity etc. I think this announcement is a little doubtful. However, people should not be divorced for children, environment and so on.
