divorce and parental authority

Do you think that divorce is good thing or bad thing? In Japan, the divorce proportion is about 25%. The other side in America that is about 50%. So American can divorce easily and they often marry and divorce. Please imagin that you are an american or you married an american and you have some children. If you must divorce, do you want to grow your children? Some pairs fight in court for parental authority. One will be winner and the other will be loser. But loser also want to live with children. So some loser deprive children of the winner and loser hide somewhere. I can't believe that real parent kidnap his or her real children. I think this things is not good for children. What do you think these american incident?
