Napoleon’s Love Letter Sold for 276,000 Pounds
A letter written by French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte in 1795 to his wife-to-be Josephine de Beauharnais was sold at auction for 276,000 pounds! while the sold auction, more than five times the letter price estimated. The London-based auction house Christie’s said on Tuesday.
