Blair had converted

Yesterday(Dec.22), former prime minister of UK, Tony Blair had converted from the Church of the England to Catholicism. This case was exceptional because Catholicism had discriminated in UK. When he was a prime minister, he could not declare his sect because there was a conflict in Nothern Ireland caused by religious opposition. When I heard this news, I thought the occurrence like this never happends in Japan because Japan has no national religion. Thus, I thought this occurrence interesting.
