Relationship betweem climate and temper

About relationship between climate and temper,It is said that people living warm region is almost cheerful. On the other hand, people living in cold region is patient and internal. To sum up, it is climate influence temper of people. I think this idea is almost fit because climate influence life-style and life-style influence mentality , of course there are differences of each persons. What do you think this story?
