The shooting incident

Masayoshi Magome shot a man and a woman and wounded six others at a sports club in Sasebo. He was applied to obtain the permit for the shotguns although some neighbors asked the police to take away his guns because of his strange behavior. I wondered that Japan had become a gun society. I have thought that people can't have guns easily, and only people who need use guns because of their work such as hunting can have the permit for guns. However, people can obtain guns easily,so that it occurred that guns were used in the murder. I believe police should make the system of permitting use of guns severe so that tragedies like this will not be happened.
