The ninth article of the Constitution

A lot of foreigner surprise to hear that Japan has the peaceful Constitution and keeping it now on. Indeed Japan never do the war after the World WarⅡ, though we have the Self-Defense Forces. There are a lot of argument about the ninth article of the Constitution, and some people claim that we have to change it because these Constitution are based on American idea. However it is true that Japan have been peace for over 60 years. One American said that he respect Japanese keeping the ninth article of the Constitution. We, Japanese have to realize afresh that peace is not ordinary thing.
