the civil rights test
Do you know your hometown well like history, mayor, industry and so on.
In Canada, emigrant form other country must take the civil rights test.
This test ask them Canada's history, mayor, industry, and so on.
If they don't get enough points, they would not be given the civil rights.
A research company tried to let citizen who live in canada now taking this test.
But about 60 % of them cannot answer very well. For example they didn't know the number of states.
It is like Japanese did not know the total number of Tokyo, Hokkaido, and all the prefectures.
I was surprized when I heard this.
We had better to be proud of our city and country.
Otherwise, our old cultures and traditional things will be faded.

Sounds good! I think it is also good for Japanese. It is a little ashamful for us that if we don't know about prefectures but the foreigners know.
