the price of the food in Japan

Recently, prices of foods and other everyday products have risen. The rise in wheat prices is paticulary outstanding, and this is caused by the droughter in Australia and increasing demand of corns for bio-fuel. Therefor, the big companies take the initiative in raising up the prices. I'm pleased to accept it because I have been thinkng that the price of the food is too low in Japan. The price of food in Japan is very low not only because of the deflation but also the trend that the consumer choose cheap food too much. It is nutural for the consumer to seek cheaper product, but recent trend has causing trouble. In order to supply cheap product, the companies sometimes use inferior materials. Are they really safety? I don't think so. Cold meat company "Meat- Hope", criticized beacouse they sold fake meatball. The head of the company said "the consumers who seek the cheap food also have responsibility". In concludion, the general trend toward cheap food should be changed. We should pay suitable money for certain quality product or we will have a hell of a time someday.
