power of MEDIA in war

Related to the death of Nagai, japanese journalist, some TV deal with the information problem. They says that war is controlled by the media to some extent. In the Vietnam war(1960~1975), media reports many evil action for vietnam from USA. People in USA saw the news and amazed by the terrible situation. Then, a lot of people came to take a opposition movement for vietnam war. Goverment couldn't ignore the public opinion, and USA withdraw from vietnam. Next war, named as Gulf war(1991), USA forces shut up all the media and what was going on was never informed to people. And in the Iraq war(2003), USA forces showed many situation for media. But, to tell the trueth, they showed only things whici is good for them so it is says that people could'nt see the real situation of the war. We can't go and see the real war so we cannnot but rely on the media. But what is projected may not be true. Believe that or not depends on us. So we should be sensitive to the situation of the world and should have detailed knowledge.

I think so.When we see the media,we check the source of information, first. Then,we judge that.
