Damages of 1,000,000 dollars

In Australia, a boy sued state government for bullying. He was bullied in elementary school by upperclassman. Because of the bullying, he could'nt work in his life. After he sued, Supreme Court decided to make pay damages of 1,000,000 dollars for him. I was surprised at this news. Of course, bullying is bad and terrible thing. But there are a lot of bullied people in the world. I think that the state government has to deal with quickly about bullying.
