According to the investigation of the ISI, the scholarship of university students seems to be getting lower. The invstigation aimed at the students from 50 universities in the USA. One of the results was that 1st grades students of universities and 4th garades showed about same scholarship. ISI says that this is because students study only required subjects. Therefore the universities that showed high scholarship have more required subjects than other universities. I think it is not good that students do not have general education, because common knowledge is necessary for our lives. Recently, there was a studying problem in Japan, too. It is important to know expertize or what he/she want to learn, but we can not promote our society or world without common knowledge.
