Do you know the band "Eagles"? They are the greatest rock band in America in 1970's. Their famous songs are "Take it easy", "Desperado", "Witchy woman" and so on. In Japan, especially "Take it easy" is very famous because it has been used as the back ground music on TV. Also, "Desperado" was the BGM of the "The Glourious Family" which is very famous Japanese drama. Desperado means that a man who does dangerous things without caring about himself. I like that drama, so I also like "Desperado". Nowadays, many good American POPs are born, but I like 1970's songs like Eagles' songs very much. What is your favorite oldies?

Announcement of New missiles in North Korea

On April 25th, four missiles including new three types were announced at seventy-fifth army's anniversary parade in North Korea. These missiles' range are so long and they can attack Guam where is American installation. Why did they use a lot of money for weapons such as missiles? Why don't they use these mony for happiness of people or world peace? I think this is the big issue of not only North Korea but every countries which have their armies. Should we really have armies and weapons? Should we really fight each other? Don't we really have another way?

The army shot nine years old girl in Philippine

On March, nine-year-old girl were killed at the civil war in Philippine. The soldier said that he thought the gilr was the soldier of guerilla because she was holding a gun. However the chief of the village said that there were no gun when he saw the girl dying. After 2001, 54 children died for this civil war. What do you think of this? I'm really sorry for that girl and her family. Now her father is suspected as the member of guerilla. It's just terrible!

natto

Do you like natto? My English teacher doesn't because he isn't a Japanese man. Of course, some Japanese people don't like it. I love natto and have eaten it every day for 3 years. Natto is one of the Japanese food and most Japanese people have eaten it at least once. The reason I eat is that natto is very healthy. First, I say to you that natto is not a diet food, which became a very big problem in Japan last year. However, it has big effects of making your bones stronger and good for your skins. Women should especially eat it. It has bad points though there are good points. Its taste is unusual and smell is bad, so foreign people don't like. If you want to keep healthy, you should eat it every day.

Education

One day, TV broadcasted a news of North Korea. It was about a ceremony.I felt something strange when I watched it. I educated various things, but almost of those were from japanese side. The person who made the TV program would also educated japanese side too. Therefore most of japanese would feel like me. But North korean who were educated from their side would think it usual. Even if they are in the serious hunger while their leader can eat ample.

Friends

Hello. It’s been a long time. I’m not good at writing English but I want to write English very well. I do my best! Today, I wanna talk about “Friends”. It is not American drama. Don’t mistake it. Now I’m so sad because we have no class. I can’t meet friends and I feel lonely. I want to talk with someone and go shopping with friends. I do not enjoy everyday. “People can’t enjoy a day without talking with seven people.” I heard this speech and I think that it is really. There are six people in our household but I am not satisfied with them. Friends are very important for me because they give me energy for living well. Everyone may feel that like me. Today, "bio gasoline" is sold around Tokyo. The gasoline contains material which is made from plants. It will reduce carbon dioxide emissions. I think it's a good provision for global warming. What do you think ?

The Island

I saw movie during my free class in the university library. It was The Island this time. Its content was that, in the near future the earth is highly poluted, so the people are living in one place. Everyweek there is a lottery who can go to the only non-poluted place on the earth, "Island". One day the hero noticed that the all of the stuff is telling a lie, and he know the horrible fact. The key word of this movie is cloning, and I think this story is not only in the movie. Cloning is thought to be illegal in general, but I think the clone of the human really exist. The man sitting next to me is a clone maybe. Though the cloning technology will be very important in the near future in fact, there will be much more to be thought of.

Crash of Fukuchiyama Line train.

April 25 was the second anniversary of the crash of Fukuchiyama Line train claimed 107 lives, including the driver. When I heard this accident, I was really shocked. I always use trains. If the trains I use cause same thing... It's so horrible. I can't live without using trains. I think that JR think about safety first and swear not to cause same accident.

The Number of Children in Japan Has Decreased

Today the number of children in Japan has decreased. The speed is rapid. The rapid decline in children has been important problem. Because the decline of children influences our generation in the future. It has much to do with problem of pension in our generation. So if the number of children keeps decreasing, our responsibility of pension might about half of our salary. Because people who are taken pension will increase and people who must pay pension will decrease. The problem is very seriousness. I think we must change this surrounding to result the serious problem. It is important to impress that to grow up children is big satisfaction on men and women. Thereof all Japanese people should cooperate to do change our thoughts in a body. I think that to start with the expense of education should bring down. It needs that to impress good impression on people. Our effort is tried!! In this connection, I want to bear 3 children!!

I heard the news that the death rate of men's suicide is increasing now, which was announced by Ministry of Health. It is very regret thing. present day there are many unhappy affairs. I think there are many reason for affairs, such as depression , restructuring. I hope the number of affairs like this will be decreased.

Can you guess which beverages are popular among us? There are many vending machines. Now in Japan, we can drink any favorite beverage. According to one research, the beverage that Japanese buy more green tea than any beverages. There are many different varieties of green tea, they are grown in different areas and different ones are more popular in different places. People used and drunk instead of medicine, the past. Japanese may unconsciously choose the way to maintain our health.

Hannibal

I saw "Hannibal" on TV yesterday. It is the second film of "Dr.Hannibal Lecter" series. Do you know this series? It's very very famous. I like Dr.Lecter very much. He is a gentleman though he is a bizarre murderer. Inspite of his cruelty, he has a sense of humor. Very charming. My heart flutters with a relationship between Dr.Lecter and Clarice. I'll go to see "Hannibal Rising" today. I'm looking forward to seeing why Hannibal became a murderer.

Freshman Welcome Party

Last Friday, my club held a freshman welcome party. Many freshmen came and the party warmed up highly. Freshmen were really fresh and they asked us about club activity actively. Our club has a complex activity, so I explained them the details. The party was really exciting, so two hours flashed by and the party was broken up. Freshmen were seemed to enjoy and be satisfied with it. I was glad of it. I don't know that the other countries have this custom, but I think it's very nice because we can become friendly soon. Now I wish them to join our club!!

A planetarium

Have you ever gone to a planetarium? I myself so love stars that had gone well to a planetarium when I was a little child. In Tokyo, we can hardly see stars in the sky. 2weeks ago, I went to a planetarium after a long absence in Ikebukuro which has many interesting programs of stars and I chose the program of the sky at night around the world; sky in Paris, Australia and the North Pole. I think I won't be able to see the real sky of the North Pole in my life. It's very far from here. But I could be there during the program. This summer, I want to go to somewhere I can see real stars.

Working women

Today, there are many women still working even after they marry or have their children. My mother works now, and I also want to keep working if I marry in future. But in Japan, it seems that the surrounding for working women is insufficient yet. I think it is very important to prepare the system of child-care leave or the nursery in each company and abolish the discrimination against women.

Do you know "the Trevi Fountain"? It is a famous fountain in Rome. For example, in the movie "the sweet life", the heroine who weared a black dress played with water there. In 1995, one of the fashion models had entered the fountain for campaign of advertisement. Although in general entering there is banned, the woman stripped and swam. It is said she must pay much penalty. She said why she had swam there was this water is ours and it was too hot. I was surprised at her words and thought she should keep morals.

We have something that we can't believe. I watch often TV program of the people to see spirit in Japan. That TV program is leading many people to direction to be happy. I Also heared that one person has super natural power. That person helps police reseaching. And, that person spots criminal! I don't believe those people still now. But, I believe now. Do you know the death of the great man. His name is "Raoh". He is one of the characters in cartoon that is "Hokuto-no-kenn". Many people , including foreigners , attended the funeral. I was very surprised to hear this news.

The weather

It's rainy and cold today. Late day's wheather have been unstable, such as too warm or too cold. When the begining of this April, it snowed in Tokyo and the temperature was over 31℃ in Shizuoka prefecture. Those occurrences certainly concern with our life. I dread this summer, it will follow too hot days. Our body and generating station may shriek.

There was the case that 32 people were murdered at an American university. I do not know a detailed thing, Its cause is discriminated. There is discrimination at all places by what time of times. As for the human being, why is not it received a different thing? All human beings should have consideration. What meaning is discriminating? What meaning does a murderer have? They leave only a wound.

The other day, I read a book about food additives. I felt ill when I read it. The book said various kinds of food additives. For example, a certain drink(I can't say the name) are colored with parasites. Unbelievable!!!!!! I have drunk it before...... And, salad or cut vegetables sold at convenience stores and supermarkets are completely covered with food additives. If we eat them thinking about our health, it would be meaningless, I thought. But these are bad points of food additives, and of course there are good points too. It's convenience and cheapness. The book also said that we must not forget the benefit of food additives. I thought it is important that we don't depend too much on the convenient and cheap food.

14schools didn't take part in the national achievement test

The national achievement test was executed at national junior high school and elementary school in April 24th, but 14 public schools didn't take part in this test. These schools says, "This test is like a competition, so it doesn't mutch our philosophy of education. The most important thing is making the class, which is subjective for students." How is your opinion about the recently education? I think the number of children who study voluntarily is more and more decreacing. The affording education system will cause a drop in scholastic ability.

Mother's Day

Mother's day is coming soon! You know, this is a day on which mothers traditionally receive cards and gifts from their children. Britain celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent and in the US on the 2nd Sunday in May. Japan celebrate it same day as America and the most popular present is the carnation. But these days, I heard, roses and lilies are also popular. Well, what will you do for your mother this year? In my case, I usually cook supper. I also cook in my daily life, but this day will be a special menu. If you don't decide what will you do, you have to! Good luck!

No Car Day and Car Free Day

Do you know No Car day or Car Free day? I think that many people in Japan don't know such words. Actually, I am Japanese, so I had not known and heard such days before I read a news article. It said Chinese government had published they excute No Car day every September 22. No Car day is a campaign which is one of the way to control the quantity of traffic of cars and which is expected to untie a traffic jam and control air pollution. There is Car Free day in Europe on September 22. Car Free day is a project which completely control using cars. In Japan, some Civil Services have excuted No Car day. But I think it has not taken root in Japan yet. For our earth, we need to excute it more strictly.

Shunsuke Nakamura

Do you know Shunsuke Nakamura? Maybe most Japanese people have heard his name. He is a very famous soccer player not only in Japan, but in the world. He joined the last World Cup in Germany. Now he plays in Scotland. He belong to the team, Celtic FC and play in Scotland League. Yesterday, he got a goal in free kick and was selected the MVP. That is amazing!! He is the first man to be selected it in Japan. Of course, Celtic won the championship. He contributed to it very much. I'm proud of him and I hope his next success.

Languages

Recently, I've been really interested in languages. I think languages are the keys of commuunication. Without languages, it's very difficult to communicate with foreign people though we can. Now I study Spanish in my university, not to say English, and I'd like to learn other languages too, Italian, French, Chinese and Korean, for instnce. Using these languages, I hope that I could meet a lot of people and make frieds with them, and also I hope I could contribute to the world. What languages do you want to speak? What do you want to do with the keys?

Shunsuke Nakamura (28) who belongs to Seltic of a Scotch league made a full appearance to the game against Kilmarnock of away on the 22nd. he sank a shot directly from FK at the injury time of the latter half with 1 to 1, and led the team to the 41st victory 2 years in a row.Though I am not so well informed for soccer,I am glad the same Japanese takes an active part like this . City assembly election

Today was day of city assembly election. I heard speech by station square and election car for some days.I thought about a plan for anyone to make a town better.I hear it without minding that I remain now,If I become 20 years old, I must vote with responsibility.There seems to be election in the days of my birthday.I do not know now about election well, but, because we must support society in the future, but not only I vote, I think well and can want to vote for a right person.

Virginia University

Few days ago, in Virginia University, miserable accident happened. That was accident of shooting at random by Korean young man. There were more than 30 dead people. In the people, there were professors protecting their students. They were very brave. I was so sad.... Why did the accident happen? Why can we buy a gun easily in America? Do that need for people realy? Do you think? Of course, I think that doesn't need. Selling a gun should stop.

Mt.Fuji

Mt.Fuji is the highest and most beautiful mountain in Japan. However, it is not a World Heritage Site. The reason why it is not elected as a WHS is a common knowledge. Yes, it is thrown rubbish on the foot. Mt.Everest, the higest mountain in the world, is concerned about the garbages, too. So, the Nepalease government banned all botteld drinks from the Everest region. I think it is the best idea to minimize littering on the slopes of the mountain. In my opinion, Japanese government should do the same way to clean Mt.Fuji.

Have you ever seen a shooting star?

I live in the country, but I had never seen a shooting star. So I didn't believe in the shooting star. In March, I went to Kiyosato in Yamanashi with my club members. Kiyosato was very beautiful city! I felt good because of flesh air. At night, I was gazing out on the a beautiful starry sky. At the time I could see some twinkle thing moved! "A shooting star!!" I thought. " I could see the star!!" I was very exciting. That was my first time to see the shooting star. I want to see it again, but I couldn't. Because the star was very fast, I could't wish on a star. Any way I was very happy to see the star!! Have you ever seen a shooting star?

Earth Day

What day do you know today? Today is Earth Day. It is a day to think about the environment of the earth. The environment of the earth becomes worse year by year. Grobal warming , forest destruction,ozone layer destruction ...But, we tend not to think that there are relations with themselves. We must take over this beautiful earth to the next generation.What will we have to do for that? Let's begin with one little step first. Separate trash, bring My bag for shopping, do not leave the water put out...These are natural. But it is difficult to continue.

Shot at Virginia Tech

Already you know, a man killed 33 students of Virginia Tech including himself April 16th. I watched this news on TV in Japan, and it was a terrible shock to me. Why must he kill another students? What makes him be murderer? Didn't he have another way sure? I haven't been able to understand him and I haven't believed this incident yet .But the same time, I have know that this is the unmistakable FACT. Although everyone know (I think) that killing someone is bat thing absolutely, murder cases cannot vanish but be increasing. How to creat peaceful world? How to make peaple become happy? What should I do and What can I do for these dreams? Now, If you were asked that the reasons why we mustn't kill someone, how do you answer it? Can you answer this question? Oversea Travel

I have not been to foreign countries. Say in other words I have not gone out of Japan. I want to go foreign country which is Russia. Because I studied Russian last year. The character of Russia uses an alphabet and a Greek character. Another reason is that I am good at skiing. I want to ski in foreign countries.

"Meteorological disease" affected by weather

Association of weather in Hokkaido announced about "Meteorological disease." Do you know hat is this?I think everyone have experienced once.This symptom is caused by change of sudden temperature.For example, you feel a pain of your damaged legs in rainy days, or feel irritation in hot day.I didn't know about this fact, so I was surprised that is "disease".Recently days, the weather is not stable. One day is hot, one day is cold.I can't keep up with ups and downs.Maybe someone caught a cold.Even if you aren't, you probably need to be careful.I hope you won't be sick. Take care!

The Day After Tomorrow

My university has free DVDs in the library for the students. Though I knew I can use them at anytime, I didn't have no interest in them. Yesterday I have no class in the 4th class and have nothing to do especially, so I tried to use them. I go seeing the movies 2 or 3 times a month,I like to see movies very much, but I didn't bring myself to see DVDs in the universiy. In fact the number of DVDs are really very few. However, they beyond my expectation.they are all blockbusters everone knows. Jurassic Park, Harry Poter, Spider Man etc... Yesterday I chose The Day After Tomorrow. The content is that, global warming thaw a huge block of the North Pole, and the melted ice becomes a massive fresh water. Fresh water and seawater mix and changes the tide considerably. This causes the sudden global cooling. That was a very interesting movie, but I was terrified a little. I think the situation in that movie can be absolutely realized. Though most of us may thinks they have no relation to them, the thought is the most dangerous. We have to do anything we can do. I should refrain from breathing.

Oversea Travel

I went sightseeing in South Korea with my friends about ten days ago. Because of lack of research, there were some surprising things to me. First, many stores except street stalls and covenience stores in downtown Myeongdong was open from 11:00 a.m. to10:00 p.m. I felt the shop hours too short to enjoy shopping. Next astonishment was some stores in Dongdaemun like 109 or MARUI CO., LTD. in Japan. Their tenants were small as if street stalls were gathered. Also, they were choked up with a lot of goods and there was no fitting room. The clerk, usually only a person, played with cellular phone dully. The sight was unbelievable because I am accustomed to big tenants and redunbant service in Japan. Maybe services are'nt respected and developed so much in South Korea. I ate much delicious food, walked around unknown town with my friends, and saw unfamiliar culture and people. Meeting many surprising things, I enjoyed this trip. Also, I rediscovered good points of Japan. Oversea travel gave much experience to me.

If Japan were U.S, Japan would battle against Korea

Now, Japan are invaded by other nation. It sound like movie story, but it's an accepted fact. Regrettably, most Japanese don't know such fact. Why? Because invaded land is small desert island. That's why, most people don't interesting about it. The island called "Takeshima" is respectable Japanese land. But now, we cannot go to Takeshima freely. If you go to here, maybe you are shot by South Korean armed police. Korean invade Takeshima by the force. In 1952, Japanese fishing boats were catching fish near the Takeshima. Suddenly, korean ship approach Japanese ships. First approach, Korean crews do nothing to Japanese crews. Secound approach, they pull the automatic rifle's trigger on Japanese ships. Japanese ships ran away, but they were captured by Korean ships. Japanese crews were took away by South Korean goverment. In recent years, every Japanese people notice North Korean's take away problem, but you must know South Korean's problem too. Korean goverment was refusing judging in the International Court of Justice, because they know the oddes are bad. If they lose, outrage come out all over the world and Korea lost international trust. But in 2006, they decide to do international solution. That is great step. Recentry, Japanese women are absorbed in "Hanryu", Korean dramas. I don't like them much. Anyway, everybody should have to learn history.

Tamiflu

Have you ever been taken with influenza? I have never been taken with it but many of my friends were taken. The illness causes people high fever and this condition lingers. Oseltamivir is known widely as a curative of influenza. It is sold “Tamiflu” as trade name in Japan. However its side effect causes a problem now. 55 people who took the Tamiflu died but its causality was not solved. Then 1.000 people got into a peculiar action that may lead up to downfall. It may say the cause of the death is taking the Tamiflu. It’s terrible world!!

Traveling

My hobby is traveling. I have traveled many places in Japan before, but I haven't been to foreign countries. At last, I took a trip to Korea with my friends last week. We went to Seoul; Myeong-dong and Dongdaemun Market. Korean town was very lively with people and food was very delicious especially Kimuchi. We had a good time for three days. Korea is very near Japan, but the culture was very different. Japan and Korea have the historical feud and yet some of the old don't have a good image each other. But nowadays the two countries have many exchanges through music, drama, and food. The past can't be changed but the gap between the two can be narrowed. Traveling gives me a chance to think over many things. So I like traveling and I want to go on a next trip early!!

How to overcome being nervous

When do you feel be nervous? This answer is not only one. So many men, so many minds. Especially, I feel when I attend the first class in the university. Is this class strict? Is any friend here? Can I understand this class? Many questions run around and crash in my head. One day, I notice one fact. When I am nervous, I am looking forward to something. So, being nervous is not just bad situation. You may be excited! I hope you enjoy feeling nervous.

Hokkaido police announced that the individual information was out by winny. Winny is a soft with which we can exchange information easily. The policeman use the soft, for downloading music. The computer of the policeman was infected by computer virus and the about 560 people's individual information was out. Winny is a very useful soft, and many people use it, but it is a very difficult for us to use. Do you use Winny? I want to use it , but I have never used it, because I fear to be infected by computer virus. If you use it, be careful.

Hi! I am eno. I'm very glad to join this chat. Today, I learned about anorexia in other class.(I think some of you are same class.) In the class, I read an article about a girl who has only 32kg and is inpatient of a hospital of eating disorder. She feels that she is fat even if she is very very thin. Most of girls wants to be thinner than they are now, I think. So most of girls may suffer anorexia someday when they get a reason. For me, anorexia is not other's problem but...I still love chocolate:D

The Mayor of Nagasaki was shot

Nagasaki is one of cities in Japan. In World WarⅡ, atomic bomb was dropped in this city. While this occurrence happened long time ago, many people are still suffering from hangovers. The mayor who was shot had contributed to pacifist movement. I saw he had appealed for peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons on TV, so I was shocked and sad to know this news. It is said the criminal who is gang says he killed the mayor because of trouble of money between they and tjis city. According to daily news, it is said trouble of money between gang and city is increasing. I hope this kind of occurrence will never happen and pray for the mayor.

My earthquake fear

My PC was broken yesterday. A big earthquake is generated recently in many places. It is said that a big earthquake will happen soon in the Kanto region. I think that the earthquakes in each place are related to the Tokai Univ.Earthquake.

American Troops Killed 10 People

I read a news paper about Afghanistan. Washington　Post reported on April 15th, American troops shot people, killing and injuring many people including 2 infants and 3 elderly after having suicide bomb attack in March. American trrops insisted "We counterattacked only because they attacked us using firearms." However, there is no proof and there is no witness who saw they used firearms. I feel very sad and think that American troops should change Afghanistan more fundamentally.

My Holidays

Hello. I'm a student of Sebastian's class. And this is my first contribution. In my college, many students are infected with measles. So my college is closed and I don't have to go there until " Golden Week"holidays is over. At first I thought "I don't have to ride in crowded train!!" I think, everybody experienced "Deja vu" once. "Deja vu" is a strange phenomenon. In an unknown places, we think, "I know! I had come here before!". Recently, I read an article about "Deja vu". They said, ""Deja vu" is a brain disorder. It happens quite often." But, I believe "Deja vu" is a prediction! Don't you think my way of thinking of "Deja vu" has a great dream?

The other day , the mayor in Nagasaki of japan was shooted . He was rushed to a nearby hospital . But , sadly , he died . Japan is said safety . In fact , I think so too . However , though japan is safety , crime surely exist . We should watch out for crime . Avoiding a dark street , an empty street is a sample , not but that shooting isn't avoid . I do nothing but wish shocking like shooting don't happen .

As someone said before, yesterday I watched one news flash. Its content is "Nagasaki mayor was shot!!" I was really surprised at it. Moreover, he died after he was taking to hospital. The man who shot Nagasaki mayor is maybe some members of gang. Why did he shot?? What means were there??? I'm going to continue watching news.

My new family

The dog comes to my family in November. She is baby yet. We are teaching where the toilet is and where bed room is everyday. But she doesn't undersatands much. We are puzzled. A Candidate Standing Alone

I'm a student in Japan. This is my first contribution. I can't write good sentences in English, but if you read my contribution, I'm very happy. Now, on April 8, there were unified local elections in Japan. On April 7, I saw an unlikely sight at the nearest station. It was eleven o'clock p.m. A man who was candidate and hold a flag stood alone at the station. Of course, he didn't make a speech because it was late. Keeping quiet, he simply stood, and bowed to people coming out of the station. I was surprised and remembered that I had watched the news a while back. It was the news that a man who was a Japanese movie director had made a movie which showed Japanese election campaigns. And that movie was screened in America. The news showed also feelings of American people after watching the movie. Watching Japanese election canpaigns like bowing and waving, American people had been surprised and said, " Do Japanese decide people who they give their vote to like such campaigns?" To be sure, people have noted their policy these days in Japan. But I think it is the mainstream that people noted mainly an atmosphere and personalities of candidates. It is an interesting point of Japanese election campaign.

About fish

It is said that the world's fish and seafood population will collapse by 2048 if habitat destruction and over fishing continue. What do you think? I was really surprised. I think that there are fish and seafood always around us. We, Japanese, get a lot of nutrition from them and to have them is our pleasure. We can't live without them. Besides, there are other problem about fish and seafood. When I was a high school student, I studied that there are shellfish which we can't distinguish the sex because of the abnormality of ecosystem. What if fish and seafood collapse in all over the world? Probably food chain will collapse completely. We are going to destroy ourselves... What should we do? Please tell me your opinion.

What do you think about volunteer work?

If you have free time or vacation, where do you go? I think many people go travel, and most of them choose sighteeing. But these days in America, some people go to developing countries to help poor people. To my surprise, most of them are middle aged. They can experience different cultures, so they participate in the volunteer work. How about Japan? I think most people don't choose the volunteer work, because they want to relax when they have a free times. Perhaps, Japanese people don't care about other countries. I want to take part in the work. There are two points. First I want to know the truth of environmental problems, like disaster and hunger, or orphan and street people. I hear many news about them, but all of them are not always truth, I think. So I want to go to see the reality. Second is to help people. Even if I can do a little thing, someone can be happy. People's smile is a wonderful thing. One smile makes another smile, I think. Therefore I want to join the work. How about you? Have you ever joined some volunteer activities?

Gun-shooting case in Virginia

Did you hear the news of gun-shooting case in Virginia? The death toll of this tragedy was no less than 32. And then, the criminal committed suicide... This seemed to be the worst gun-shooting case in the history of America. I was surprised and shocked when I knew this because I'm a university student like the victim of the affair. In Japan, the law prohibit us from having guns, but Americans can get them easily. Although it can be a good way to defend themselves, we must not forget the danger of that system. I think it's a weak point of American society.

Copyrights in China

Today I found an article about copyrights on the news paper. I'm sure that everyone knows something about copyrights. This article says that America complained against China with the pirated CDs and DVDs. I've also seen a bootleg before. Indeed it is very cheep and easy to buy, they are not made only in China but everywhere. However, if we think about singers, actors and directions, and if we love their work, we must buy them in right way.

The Baby Post

Do you know "The Baby Post"? When I knew about it, I was amazed because it is a system for parents,who can't bring up their baby and they throw away their baby in this post!! However, I agree this system, for it saves many babies ,who may be killed before or after they are born. In Germany, more than 70 Baby Posts have already been established and the first Baby Post in Japan is going to be placed in Kumamoto. I am concerned that these babies may be crooked child while I approve this system. What do you think about that?

Boston Marathon at the international space station

Hi! I'm a student in Japan. This is my first contribution! I introduce about the woman who ran the Boston Marathon. Her name is Sunita Williams. she is a NASA astronaut. She ran on a treadmill at the space station and finished 4hour, 23minutes and 43seconds. I thought she is wonderful! Because I don't like running. Running is very hard but she wants to run. "it did everything I wanted it to do" she said. These words cheered me up!

Virginia Tech Shootings

This accident is very shocking to me ,so it is terrible!! First of all, the government should not allow people to take guns. Not only tje police but also people have a gun. it causes accidents like this. Gun is a weapon.It is very danger. Don't use it easily. I hope that the accident like this will not happen again.

Now,some million people get eye surgery over the world. Getting a scalpel into the eye makes people afraid,anxiety.But, this operatrion is cheap and over quickly. I have bad eyesight,because I get contact lens into eye every day.It is troublesome to get contact lens into eye,washing contact lens.Think about this situation!!!Think about to buy contact lens every month!!! hi, new guys, i'm jaguar, 3rd grade of AGU. now, i'm going to write about the internet, which is verrrry common and combenient invention. how many guys connect the internet in your house? i'm not, so usually i have to go to univ. or somewhere it is available. i know it's very useful and nice, but it costs the contract fee or else every month...also, there are many attracting web sites like, you know, "you tube," "mixi," and more, which will prevent me from doing what i have to do... should i take contract? ...oops, before that, i have to get new part-time job (i moved to mitakadai, so i quit the cafe in fuchinobe), because my account is getting empty now!!LOL

Packed Train

Hello, I'm MU.I am using Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line to go to school. This line is very crowded every morning. The getting on rate becomes about 200% by the section and the time . The express is more. It is hard to breathe!!So, I get tired very much every day. The train often be delayed because of congestion. Then, Tokyu started a new diagram this month to solve congestion and the delay.The express was changed by the local train between Futako-Tamagawa Station and Sibuya Station at the peak. Congestion is leveled though the time required increase.But I don't have actual feeling so much. Train is crowded as before, and it is sometimes delayed. It is inevitable because I live in the center of the city. The most important things is that a train runs safely even if it gets crowded and it takes time. However,I am sometimes weary of taking crowded train. I become a feeling like a grain of rice of the rice ball.

Owarai (Japanese Humor)

Hello. My name is aomidori. Today, I introduce "Owarai", which is the most popular entertainment in Japan . Recently, Owarai is getting more and more popular in Japan . We can say , Owarai is like a comedy. Almost all of the Japanese comedians do "Manzai". Manzai is a comic dialogue by two comedians. One person is “Boke” and the other is “Tukkomi”. Boke should speak funny things and Tukkomi should reply to them. They are called “Manzaishi” This form is very unique. I am always attracted to this talk without notice. Manzaishi talk about recent news, everyday conversation, etc. Of course they must talk about these things humorously. So it is very interesting. There are many comedy's agencies in Japan .For example, there are "Yoshimoto", "Shochiku Geino", "Jinrikisha" and so on. Above all, Yoshimoto is a leading agency and it was born in Osaka. Now, Osaka is the most famous town of Owarai and many comedians are from Osaka . It is difficult for comedians to get a job from Yoshimoto because this agency requests them to do hard things. But thanks to it, Yoshioto's comedians succeed in the world of entertainment. Anyway If you come to Japan , you must notice comedy's impact.

The Chinese Premier

Hello, Brooke and everyone. My name is Paruma. I had many part time jobs until now so my posting was so late. I will talk about the Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao . He visited Japan on April 12 and stayed for 3 days. He interviewed with the founder of Soka University, Dr, Ikeda. They celebrated about "35 th Anniversary of Nomalizations between Japan and China." They wished for friendship between Japan and China in the future. Dr. Wen Jiabao tried to visit Japanese people. For example, He jogged at Yoyogi Park. I amazed his action and I moved. We should respect his posture. We have many problem between Japan and China such as history, Yasukuni Shrine...etc, but we have to be affiliation. I think Japanese people should consider to global news. Latest young pepole don't have concern about global news. Considering is the first step of affiliation between Japan and China and some global ploblem. How do you think about affiliation between Japan and China in the future? Please tell me your ideas and thoughts.

Night Museum

Terrorism in Baghdad

Hallo, Sebastian! This is Tomokatsu. I’m your English class student. I watched the news on television in the morning. The news reported on the act of terrorism in Baghdad. Eight people were killed by this act. I felt really sad when I watched the news. What did the terrorists want to tell us? I don’t know what they want ,but I think that terrorism engenders nothing. Perhaps we can understand the thing disgust them. However, we can’t understand what they want because their act is only violence and they didn’t call on us to change our notion. Fish on rice

Hi,nice to meet you. I'm a Japanese college student. This diary is a part of English class. My teacher said "you have to write about international topic" But, I don't have such a topic. So, I looked for one... Suddenly, an idea came to me! How about sushi? In recent years, sushi is eaten by lots of people in the world. So, I'll tell you about sushi. Sushi is Japanese fast food. We can eat it at a sushi bar. There is no waitress, so you have to tell Taisho your order. Taisho is master of sushi bar. You must call him Taisho. After you have eaten sushi, you must say the following phrase to the Taisho, no matter how it tastes , "Good taste, Taisho! I'll come here again!" In Japanese, "Taisho,Gochi so san! mata kuru yo!" But you don't have to go again. This is Japanese manner. If you say "Oh, ****! That tasted like garbage!", Taisho will get angry. Maybe Japanese like a peaceful world. So, if you have a chance to eat sushi, Let's try!

PASMO or Suica

"Do you use PASMO or Suica?" Most people use train today. If we have them, we don't have to tickets in getting on train. They are very useful. Until March 18th, we couldn't use PASMO and Suica on the same lines. PASMO was used on the private railroads, such as the Tokyu and Odakyu Line and Suica was on the JR Lines. That botherd us very much. Nowadays, we can use the all lines if we have either PASMO or Suica. The former can even be used in the bus, which is amazing! Incidentally I use Suica. If you don't have either of them, you should get it.

SPY KIDS

Do you know the movie "SPY KIDS"? It was broadcast on TV yesterday in Japan. It is full of action and drama. Below is a plot of the movie. There was a normal family, father, mother, daughter and son. They live peacefully in America... The secret of the family is that the parents were excellent spies in the cold war era and retired now. One day, they are called by the boss because of the mission that looking for their colleagues(they are also spy, too) who were caught by the enemy . Children never know this fact that their parents are spies until the day comes. During the mission, the parents are fairly caught in the trap and tied by the enemy. Knowing that their parents are caught, the children start to save their parents.... I have not seen "SPY KIDS2", so I want to rent it soon. I recommend it as a good action movie. Please see it!

Child abuse

Yesteday,I read the column about Child-abuse deaths. In the United States, around 872,000 children became victims of child abuse or neglect in 2004. Around 1,490 kids died. In Japan, Japanese authorities know that child is at risk but failed to do anything about it. The environment of a certain family is difficult to change. Also, it's difficult for society to get involved with a certain family. The children's rights actually seem not to be thougt much of. What do you think?
